Welcome to The central States spring Conference & Trade show 2008

Service is what we do. Its an underlying principle of Community Media. But as public policy and fiscal realities change, our ability to serve others is
threatened. At the Central States Alliance for Community Media Spring Regional Conference, "Live To Serve, Serve To Live", we will examine how our service to others can in turn serve the sustainability of our organizations.

We will examine the changes that are and those to come, and develop real
strategies to meet these changes. We will discuss the relationship between
community media and the communities we serve, and seek out new ways to
strengthen those relationships. We will take a hands on look at using media
for positive social change via a hands-on documentary workshop that will run
throughout the conference.

Media Bridges is proud and privileged to be the host of the 2008 spring
conference. We'd like to give you a little taste of the Queen City Of The
West and we hope to treat you to something a little different at this event.
You are our guests and, like all residents of the Ohio valley, we're just so
darn pleased to have you.

Who Should attend this conference:
Staff, Board Members, Community Producers, and
volunteers. This Central States Conference will be
educational on many levels. The sessions are structured
in tracks for Breaking The Snow Globe, It's Community Media, and Documentary Works.In addition, the people you will meet will prove to be the best investment. There will be many at this conference who have been where you are, or experienced the challenges you are facing now.

Who we are:
The Central States Region of the Alliance for Community
Media ( C/S-ACM ) provides a variety of services to
members of the ACM withing the states of Indiana,
Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky ( hence our informal
accronym "I'M OK" ).
